Surging problem
| David Yoest | I have a D15 series II, a gas burner, that is surging after the tractor runs about two minutes. I can get it to run smoothly when I rengage the choke.I have changed the fuel filter, air filter and added gas dryer to the tank. I also clened the carbuerator bowl. What should I try next?

| Jeff Z. | Sounds like you still have a fuel resriction problem somewhere. If you have a sediment bowl on the gas tank take it out of the tank and make sure the inlet hole doesn't have crud in it. It sounds like once the engine uses the gas in the bowl it is not refilling fast enough. |
| Jeff Z. | If you take the sediment bowl off and open the gas valve the gas should flow with a fast steady stream. If it doesn't remove and clean the sediment bowl housing.

| Jeff Z. | By what you posted about the choke tells me the engine is getting too much air and not enough gas. Since it runs good for a few minutes I would look between the needle valve gas inlet in the carburetor all the back to the tank. The jets in the carburetor are probably clean since it does run for awhile. |
