How much is a 1939 wd allis worth in North Dakota or anywhere?
| Lizard | My father-in-law just purchased a 1939 wd allis and is wondering what it is worth. He has 3 diferent attachments with it. He wanted me to say that they are mid-attach. I don't know anything about tractors so I'm not sure if that makes any sense. He bought it and the attachments at an auction sale for $250. He says it runs. Did he get ripped off? I don't think so. It is in fair shape. Couple of dents in the tin and needs some paint but everything else looks pretty good. If you know your tractors please e-mail me. It looks like a fun project but I want to make sure it is worth the time and energy to rebuild. You have to start somewhere. This will be my first tractor restore. So parts help will also be appreciated. Thanks

| Max(ia) | They didn't make a WD in 1939. It's either a WC or the year is wrong. That would make a big difference in the price .

| rich4 | Go to tractorshed.com and look on the left under serial numbers, you may find out what you have and what year, A WC had no hand clutch that I know of, a WD had a hand clutch on the right side forward of the brake petals. Also many other differences, but they look similar from a distance. Anything running would be worth more than $250. Quite possible a 49 WD but serial numbers will tell. Could also be a 1939 WC. an older tractor. |
