fuel starvation
| Jim | My AC D15 will run fine for about a minute and then appears to run out of fuel. I've checked and cleaned the filter, replaced fuel lines, new plugs, points ok, drained fuel tank and replaced with new fuel, air filter ok, float doesn't seem to be sticking. Before dying, the engine surges and throttle linkage activates on its own. I'm about ready to drain fuel tank again and replace entire fuel filter unit. Is this possibly a governor problem or does the D15 even have a governor, Governor? Any and all input will be appreciated. JH |
| russ1 | Yes it does have a governor but this has all the symptoms of a fuel problem. Have you checked the float setting? It could be too low or the carburator needs cleaned. If these are okay then it getting restricted somewhere else.
