B-Allischalmer Magneto
| Mike | I have put new points and condensor in my magneto. now it will not run. I the #1 cylinder at top center and the magneto set to the # 1 cylinder and the tangs match up. I have the points set at .20. I know i have gas. It would run before this but it was not running very good. Any suggestions out there.

| Jeff Z. | This site might help you. http://www.worldpath.net/~thompson/acb/magtiming/magtiming.htm |
| Mike | There are three wires involved with changing the points in the magneto. (1)comes from the coil. (1)comes from the condensor (1) one comes from an external grounding tab. Sould the one coming from the coil read to ground constantly. The portion of the points hat moves, reads to ground all the time when all three of these wires are hooked to a common terminal with the moving portion of the points. Is that right? I thought that only the stationary part of the points should read to ground. I have installed new points and condensor and the tractor will not hit a lick. I am certain that i have the timing correctly according to the "thompson/abc/magtiming" web site information. Open for suggestions Thanks Mike |

| stu (ON) | Don't know if you can see this diagram well enough to answer your question, or not. http://www.magnetoparts.com/mag_docs/fm/j4_inst.pdf |
| Ja Vain Mitten | How do I take the wiring from the magneto in my B Allis-Chalmer and create a distributor. I have done it many years ago, but can't remember today.
