Allis Chalmers D17 gas- dies while running

Torrey Hey guys, I've got a series 3 d17 gas that dies after being run for about 15 minutes. It usually won't start back up right away either. Seems like she gets hot and shuts down. Carb is good. Plugs and wires are good. At first I thought it only did it while under load but I drove it around a flat for 20 minutes and it died again. Am I looking at an electrical problem here? I'm not sure where to go. She has 4000 hours and has had proper service her whole life. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Here's a video of it running: http://youtu.be/rvHNpiqbfQ4

ponymare Is the coil getting hot, even if its not, it sounds like the coil is the problem. Next time it quits, pour cold water over it, then try it, if it starts right back up, that's it.
Torrey Ran it til she died. Wouldnt start up. Poured water on it and she fired right up. New coil it is. Thanks a lot for your help!
J Pen I've got my 220 engine apart for rebuild ,water in oil , i'm replacing main bearings right now and find the bearings in the kit aren't ' correct ' the tabs don't match up and they have 2 set's of bigger ones and he rest are narrower than whats in there ,mine are all the same size , my question is were there 2 diff sizes?it's a reliant kit and they can't come up with an answer yet. thanks for any input.
