|Bill||Any suggestions on # 4 cylinder fouls within 1 hr use. other three are OK. Everything new. ignition, wires etc new carb, engine rebuilt. It has igniter and match coil. Plug on #4 fouls, black smoke, power loss after 1 hr use. Basically all is new or redone. In the past, 3-4 yrs of use, and you put in new plugs. All the local experts have tried but the problem persists.
Thanks for any help on this.
|ponymare||Has anybody ran a compression test to compare #4 with the rest? At overhaul time one or more rings could've been broken on that cyl, if not that, maybe the wrist pin keeper came out and the wrist pin has moved out against the cyl making a groove.
