|roger||Hello Jim, I have nice hot blue spark at every spark plug. compression is 82 at cylinder #1 and 80 at #2,#3, and # 4. Tractor almost starts with hand over air intake but starter kicks out at that point. Plugs are completely dry. I am baffled. It used to start after no more than 3 turns of the starter. What else do you suggest?
|Jim L||Hi Roger, that compression sounds a little low to me. Try this, pour about a teaspoon of oil down each cylinder and see if it will start on it's own. Have you tried starting fluid sprayed into the carb. intake?
