hydraulic lift lever shaft 2n

alan halliday got used quadrant assy for ford 2n . How does the lift control lever shaft fit inside housing ? Should it be tapped in with piece wood , and where will the offset on the lever shaft be facing? Should pto be running while installing or tractor left off? Thanks
Jim L Hi Alan, welcome to our little forum. I had mine on the bench last summer to put a new piston and rings in. I don't remember taking the shaft out though. I would try tapping it in with a piece of wood. As far as it's orientation, I would have the lift lever bolted to the lift plate. You should be able to determine where the offset will end up. I would have the tractor off while you put it in. Good luck and let us know how you did.
alan halliday thanks Jim will work on it this Friday and inform you
