|Joe Sammon||Need advise on vibration coming from the engine of a 580SK,changed the oil and cut open the filter but found no metal in either,thought it may have knocked out a rod bearing,any advise would be much appreciated.
|AJ||Check the engine mountings esp the front two,put a pry bar near the front where it will not damage anything and see if the engine lifts up or rocks,it is usually the mountings that causes a very raspy vibration.
|Joe||Thanks Aj the front two mountings were gone all together,metal on metal,i replaced all four,what a relief i thought the engine was wasted.
