tire chains on 580 super e

mark I can't keep tire chains on rear tires from wandering off tire and/or rubbing against fender on inside of tire. the chains don't wrap over tire very far but if they did they would probably rub on fender strut. Turning rims inside out won't give me any more clearance. Can I make chain tensioners out of chain and turn buckles so they don't stretch? I think the tire chains may stay put then.
Re: tire chains on 580 super e

In my neck of the woods we don't get enough snow for to have to use chains, from what I gather there is not enough clearance for the chains inside the tire on the SE,some people use spacers to bring the wheel out, there is an article over on Heavy Equipment about them at the link below, picture shows chain on 580K wheel.
