Case 580L dipper arm won't extend
|Matt field||Tractor runs great, have hydraulic power to bucket, extend a hoe arm, stabilizers, but the dipper arm will not come out of the closed position. By Pulling the lever it sounds like it is pushing fluid but nothing happens. Any ideas to what is wrong?
|AJ||I would guess the trouble is in the cylinder, the seals could have blown on the rod piston, the piston could have come off the rod or the rod broke, take off the gland nut from the cylinder and pull the rod out to have a look at the piston/seals etc.
