With the new X36 software, 4wd LIGHT should come on when tractor is started. Step on the brakes, release, then push the switch will turn off the 4wd.
After a certain speed is reached, around 13mph-- not sure, 4wd should disengage. When you slow down it should come back on.
You have to remember, 4wd is SPRING applied, it takes HYD pressure(247psi) to disengage.
