I need guidance reassembling the reverse cluster gear on a MF 202 and the internet may be my only hope for help.
I split the tractor and removed the transmission last April. Shortly after that I became seriously ill. Now, months later, memory loss is preventing me reassembling the gear, needle bearings, washers and spacer in the correct order.
My first problem is the amount of needle bearings go in each side. I have 27 pins for both front and rear. However, there appears to be room for a 28th and don’t know if there’s any missing or not.
The gear rides on a one inch shaft. I have two brass washers, three flat washers and one spacer about 5/16 thick to center the gear. My second problem is I no longer remember the correct order to install them.
My repair manual doesn’t show enough detail.
Thanks for any help.
Randy
