I havea massey 203 industrial that the hydrolics on the three point hitch would not raise. I suspected water and drained and changed the fluid. That still did not work. So I took off the seat and removed the cover. I cleaned out the housing and cleaned the filter to the pump. When I reasembled the top part and dropped it and broke a piece of the valve off that sticks out of the pump. I was able to pull it out of the pump assembly and take it to a dealer of parts. We ordered one to replace it. The problem is is that it is simular but does not look the same. The barrel I took out has ridges in it and the new one does not have ridges in it. Plus it has a washer around it that has ridges in the id of it. I tried to reach in and pull it out and it does not seam to work. I was wondering if I have to take the pump out and replace internal parts or just slide it in and try it. Would anyone be familiar with what I am working on and assist me I can email pictures if needed. The part that broke had an end piece that had two rollers so very small on it and it swiveled inside the barrel. I tried to take it appart and did not have much success. It has a snap ring tha is testing me very seriously. This tractor had been sitting for about two years before I obtained it.
