Gerry as these tractors autotronic system is electronicaly controlled it could be a fault in the autotronic unit .....corrosion in the wiring or a fault with either the PTO solenoid or spool....unless you are lucky and find any of the faults I have described you will need to either get your local MF dealer to visit you or tale the tractor to him. One thing I would check before you start to delve too deep and that is the main battery connection onto the starter. I once had a fault similat to the one you describe and after days of hunting for broken/corroded wires and a host of other possibilities I found the fault by chance....the main connection onto the starter was slack despite the tractor starting perfectly....the only service to be affected was the PTO....Geoff
