2 years !!! the firing order is 1-2-3. the timing is set with the #1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke (with both valves closed), and the gears aligned with the dots and distributor rotor pointing to #1. Also if he had the flywheel off did he replace it in the correct position with the holes lined up ? as this could throw off the TDC mark on the flywheel.
