I OWN A 1964 MF2135 IND. WHEN I LOST OIL PRESSURE, THE PROBLEM WAS A DEFECTIVE OIL PUMP. THE DRIVE GEAR FOR THE PUMP HAD SPUN ON IT'S SHAFT. I WAS ABLE TO ORDER A REBUILD KIT FOR THE PUMP. ACCESS TO THE PUMP WAS EASY. ONLY HAD TO DROP THE OIL PAN. ON THE CONTINENTAL ENGINE, THE OIL PUMP IS BOLTED TO THE FRONT MAIN BEARING. THE GEAR IS ANCHORED TO IT'S SHAFT WITH AN ALLEN SCREW. YOU MUST DRILL INTO THE SHAFT AND GEAR, THEN TAP AND INSERT THE SCREW. USE LOCTITE TO SECURE. NOW HAVE (AFTER APPROXIMATLY 100 HRS) EXCELLENT OIL PRESSURE. IT DOES DROP OFF SOME AS THE OIL GETS HOT, BUT STAYS IN THE SAFE RANGE.
