I have a gas to35 that has a 12volt system on it but was never completed correctly. It has always worked well enough to keep running starting, etc but if you leave the bat. cable connected over night it will drain the bat. I notice a tiny spark on the cable when I hook it up even though everything is switched to off, so I think there is something pulling a small load on the battery but there are no lights or anything other than the ign. could the alternator be drawing down the bat? (it is a chevy 3wire alt. & I read where this is the best one to have on anything you want to charge) Also on the left hand side of the engine almost directly under the batt. there is some type of ceramic block about 1"X4" that has two male electrical spade terminals coming out of it that was not being used when I got the tractor. What is this for & should it be used now for anything special? If anyone knows the answers to any of these questions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Wallace, Please, feel free to call me if you can help. 512-576-1112
