I don't think you will see very little water flow with a full radiator, if the top hose is assable remove the end that connects to the radiator and seal the outlet to the rad. with duct tape and fill the rad. full and turn the engine over with out starting it, (use water only so as not to waste antifreeze) if the pump is working you should get water out when the engine turns over, what caused the original problem? a blown head gasket will cause over heating, seems like you replaced the other causes of overheating!
