I do not know about 1260, but soundes like you have air in the fuel system! if you do you will have to bleed the air out of the lines filters and fuel injector, if you know where the bleed screws are located, open one or both if it has two and crank the engine if the fuel pump is working you should get a steady stream of fuel out of the bleed location, when you get a steady stream close the bleed screw and if it still does not start you may have to loosen the injector line at injector pump, then crank the engine, soon you should get fuel out of the injector line and if you are getting fuel out of the line the engine should start up, when it does tighten the line and you should be good to go!!
