It leaks oil out the top around the shaft. It was leaking around the bottom but one of the previous owners (a true mechanical genious, by the way) decided that the best way to fix the leaks was to weld them shut. As a result, the cylinder is not rebuildable and finding another one is like finding chicken's teeth.
