Hi John,
I too have just yesterday bought a wheelhorse C161 without a deck for restoration. If you come across a source of decks I'd be grateful. I also have a W/H Commando 800 version which seems to have the same chassis, and which has a 36" deck which I am going to try and swap over today. If I can't find a deck then I might try and make one if you're interested. That way I can make it tougher and with better bearings than the originals. Somebody told me decks are about £6-700 to buy new. The C161 also seems to have a L/H ratio problem and is stuck in high. Anybody got any suggestions? I'd also be interested in learning about the ages of my machines.
