Here is all the numeric detail on my machine, with a set of Front Tines, with wheels in Rear, and engine facing Rear (pulley shaft to rear).
The gear case is Cast Iron, the Tiller is Orange. The tines are in the Front of the Machine. The Engine drives them through a pulley setup, facing rearward. The Tines then turn through a driveshaft, routed forward, to a worm gear in the Casting. This worm gear engages the Bronze Tine Shaft Gear which I need. Nobody will speak about the gear unless I have a Gilson part number, or a WARDS Part Number. Probably the Wards Part Number would be best.
Here are all the numbers I can find on this crazy machine.
M W Model, 4-Speed Stick Shift. The following are on the casting of the Gear Case Worm shaft, and the Vertical Plate that this Shaft Casting bolts to, and attaches to the drive
pulleys on the other side.
Gear case Shaft# 31208 (Housing)
Vertical Mtg. Plate:# 23975
I suspect these numbers apply to the motor only.
Briggs & Stratton 8hp.

Type# 0652-02
