I went thru the whole process - small black wire on magneto disconnected - cranked by jumping starter solenoid - removed plugs and grounded them with vicegrips to frame. Still no spark. Setting of mag is by business card - gap is ok.
I checked readings on mag with ohmmeter - small wires show about .4 ohm across that winding, but HV wires show open, both between them and to ground.
Bad mag?
I'm up here in the woods of Maine, and we don't have a B&S parts store arond the corner, but I'm trying to hunt one down.
