JD made two styles of rear wheel hubs for 1968/69 140 garden
tractor. The original had screws that allowed you to separate the
brake rotor from the hub. The replacement appears to be a pressed
fit without screws.
JD also had two axle housings. The original housing required that
the bearing retainer be crimped into a groove. The newer style has a
retainer that slips directly over the end of the tube.
Can the hub with screws be used on the newer style axle housing?
