Am looking at the following riding "ZTR" mowers, either
1. Husky 16H 41" deck w/ B&S 16HP (w/o oil filter?) for ~$3000,
-versus-
2. Ariens 1540 40" deck w/ B&S 15HP (w/ oil filter, NO grease fittings) for ~$2800,
-versus-
3. Ariens 2048 48" deck w/ B&S 20HP (w/ oil filter, grease fittings) for ~$4000,
-versus-
4. USED Exmark "Lazer" 2560 60" deck w/ Kohler 25HP (w/ the works... commercial-type) @ $5400,
- versus-
5. JD Sabre 2354 _Garden Tractor_ 54" deck w/ Kohler twin 23HP (w/ oil filter, cast iron front axle, ...) @ $3700.

The Ariens have a "true" 0-turn (ZTR) w/ levers, whereas the Husky's are 4-wheel articulated w/ a steering wheel.

Can more easily(?) put attachments to the Sabre, such as the snow blade &/or thrower that would most likely be interested in - have ~200' drive. The Sabre also has (supposedly) a 'tight' 20" turn radius.

Looked at a White ZT2150 this am, but, don't think that would care much for the way the levers responded during my demo.

Anyone know much about any of the above? Any thoughts or recommendations for ~3 acres, relatively flat, few trees? Did a search through the site here, and on the 'net... have not found much at all on the Husky - best have found is a semi-dated (2000) review from popular mechanics in their home improvement/gardening section, for zero turn riding mowers.

While the Kawasaki & Honda engines are superior whilst running vs the B&S, they are also higher cost for parts, etc... trade-off there...

All I'm primarily after is dependable, reliable, cost-effective [yet under $4k] for something to mow my grass in the most time-effective manner...

Have also talked to a dealer about a JD w/ 42" cut, 15hp B&S Vangard (w/ filter) - asking ~$3700... but another dealer said that JD was discontinuing their "0-turn" mowers... ?

Thanks for any and all advice/help... :)
