I currently own an MTD 12/38 IC with a BS 12HP. I am doing some "not so" routine maintenance on it and have a question. What type of lubrication is recommended for the transaxle. It was full of bearing grease when I broke it open but that seemed to leave the axle bushings dry. Any tips on this rebuild would be appreciated. Oh, besides "don't lose the shift lever stop ball," I already learned that one.
