your prob is somewhat common, imho. the nylon bushings wear, eventually causing linkages probs.
Best to replace all of them... also if lubing, try to use a dry type lube - oil/grease will attract/retain dirt, causing more accelerated bushing wear.
You might also chk the pucks in your park brake mechanism for heavy wear...
