If this doide is used for charging system same may have been provided by eng mfg in which case take eng make/mod# & type/spec# to local mower shop & have them lookup in eng parts list to see if same shown in eng mfg parts list.IF diode being used as a blocking diode in wiring harness,goto radio shack & get a rectifer doide with a 50v/more voltage rateing & 6A current rateing and see if that works for you or try www.allelectronics.com for a higher voltage/current rateing on diode.
