I just got a 12 H.P. 38" cut Montgomery Ward mower (for free). It has a 7 speed "Transmatic" transaxle on it. I notice that when I go uphill (when it is in a strain) the rear end makes a whining sound. When it goes downhill it does not make a sound. I thought it might need some grease in the transaxle but there is no place to add or check it. Any suggestions on how I could add or check it. Do I have to take it all apart or what????
