Start with ign sw,check operation of same(wiring connector plugged unto sw) with a 12v test light,you may have something broken or an internal momentary short in sw,between A & M term or M & S2 term when going between run & stop/off position,if it's between M & S2 term this will put a neg(-)voltage into one side of diode causeing a short thru diode when turning key to stop/off.
