No good news here. Drill out the rivets and split the case or just buy a new one and install the whole assembly. Once you have it apart you'll want to replace the chain. If the drive shaft is worn to failure then the chain is streached out and not long for this world either. Grease up everything on the rebuild, put some sealant between the case parts and use good quality bolts, lock washers and nuts to secure it back to gether.
