: I was wondering if I could use a 3 gang reel mower
: pulled by a 400cc ATV to mow my yard of 3+ acres.
: The grass mostly consists of Centipede with some
: St.Augustine and Bahia. The yard is mostly flat
: and open. Any advice is appeciated. Thanks,

A 400cc ATV should work fine if it's a worker not a 2WD sport type. Look at the specs on all of the various models available and choose the lightest one. We tried to use a gang reel on our lawn in Ky and gave it up because everytime a stick (1/2" or bigger) got caught in the reels that part of the gang quit cutting and made for lots of stoping and extra passes to get the 10 acres cut so you might reconsider if you have any trees droping branches on you lawn. There are also some good pull type power cutters out there. Search on rotary cutters and look at the different mfrs. You might start with Bush Hog.
