: : Have a chance to purchase a 185 tractor,I really don't know what it's worth. It is in good shape, deck is good also. ANY HELP ON VALUE ?
: Mike - There's not a whole lot to go on here, but I'll give it a shot. There are several factors that affect pricing on used L&G equipment. Age, condition, demand, features, and location are a few.
: The JD 185 is a lawn tractor as opposed to a garden tractor. Therefore, the demand is relatively low for this model. Also, the 185 was manufactured between 1986 and 1990, so it's been a few years since they were in production. With a 17 HP engine and hydrostatic, the 185 would be powerful and easy to operate.
: If the tractor is in good overall condition, no smoke, no bends or rust out in the sheet metal, no broken parts, tires in good condition, easily starts, bearings in deck run smooth -- maybe $450 to $650. - Dave
Dave thanks for the info. - Mike
