#1. Your X300 is still under warantee, so I'd let the dealer sort it out.
#2. Your 345 and Kubota are both strronger machines, so I have no doubt that they outperform the X300. The X300 is a very nice lawn tractor, but it's still a lawn tractor, the other 2 machines are garden tractors, so it's like comparing a 4 cylinder Toyota truck with a V-8 powered Ford F-250
#3. The 318 with a dead engine could be worth as little as $250 to as much as $750 deoending on how it is equipped, and what condition the rest of the tractor is in. VERY unusual to hear of an Onan dying from a flywheel problem, typically they let loose a rod which sends a piston thru the block. I would get a good reputable mechanic to see if it can be repaired for a reasonable price.
