Check seat safety sw,check that same tight in mount & seat hitting & depressing plunger on sw,this is the most troublesome sw on craftsman tractors & cause problem you have,if it is the seat sw,eng will also die if you try to engage deck/turn on pto sw for deck,if seat sw not working it's telling tractor stop eng if clutch released/mower engaged-no one sitting on seat.
