I have been using a 2048 (with the Kohler) for 2 1/2 years now - nice little tractor. One minor problem, the fuel shutoff solenoid in the carb float bowl died. I removed the plunger and its been fine without it. I mow about 2 acres of very hilly (and steep) lawn. Also gather leaves (lots of shade trees) and plow or snowblow a couple hundred feet of uphill driveway. Quite happy with the tractor and with the motor. Seems to be smoother than the Briggs, with plenty of umph...
