Newbie to this board and can find no search feature so forgive if this is a redundant question. Replaced starter solenoid, but replacement was shorted and drew considerable voltage before I noticed how hot the new solenoid became. Replaced again, all well with starter. New problem: No charging, indicator light on constantly, runs on battery only until drained. Replaced the stator, no change. Could the rectifier be at fault? Any other suggestions appreciated.
