WOW!!! That must be it. I took the rear wheel off to fill it with air. What does the square key look like. There was a locking ring thing similar to what goes on the front wheel. Could I have put that back in wrong? Guys at the local little Sears outlet appears they may know something about the washers and stoves but very little about the lawn tractors. Thanks guys!! I am so relieved just need to try to fix it.
