Joe you hit the nail on the head. I tried your 1st suggestion about checking with the condenser disconnected and that was it. The points looked like they were making but weren't. I had to put a slight bend on the tab from the cam side and that did it. Spark is back gap is set to .020 I tried old set of points and got same results an intermittent spark, put a slight bend on that tab and they work fine too. Guess spring tension on points wasn't strong enough to get them to mate. Thanks again you solved it for me.
