Craftsman Lawn Tractor won't move once in gear

I have a 15.5hp 42" craftsman lawn tractor. I put it in gear and it does not move. Also the brake does not hold it in place. I can push it around while in gear and while the parking brake is set. The belt looks like it is going around not positive that it is not just spinning but I believe that it is turning the drive pulley.
Any ideas?
