if your asking that a tranny failure is causing your drive belt to jump off/break, I doubt it. Would first look/check belt path idler pulleys, belt guides, etc. for proper settings, bearings OK, etc. Also look for all pulleys to be in line with one another - particularly any that are mounted on moving pivots such as clutch pulleys. Replacement belt should be OEM rather than "no name" aftermarket type.
Do replace damaged fan on tranny top - very important to keep tranny cool or then this issue may become a very expensive proposition...
