Have a 1994 Simplicity Sunstar with Kohler 20 hp. It hesitates, gets jerky when I give her more than half throttle. Was one small fray in the wire harness that tucks into the fan shroud, but wires inside were okay and I patched it and problem persists. Replaced voltage regulator last year. One coil is orginal, the other over ten years old. Fuel pump is a few years old, lines look okay. Carb has never been cleaned. Should I start with replacing the coils?
