I bought John Deere LA 140 even after thinking it looked like MTD engineering and being told by others that it was MTD, now I see it is more likely AYP (another company producing embarrassingly poor quality products). Within about ten minutes of working on sloped lawn, the tranaxle overheats (not even an MTD I have that requires major repairs after every use is this bad). Why do we allow bad manufacturers to produce brand names with quality images without warning the customer about who really manufactured the product. I now have a large MTD/AYP lawn tractor graveyard in my backyard because of this deceptive practice.
