Hi. I have an
MTD trans-axle model 717-541, and need some info on its internal structure, specifically, does it have the same duty life in "forward" as "reverse"? Second is there a ratio difference between "forward" as "reverse"?
The reason is I have started a project in which I am grafting the drive train from my beat-up MTD 7speed IC, into an old steel body golf cart. Practicality dictated that I install the trans-axle upside down, I want to know if that is going to cause me any funky issues.
So what do you guys think?
