I have a Craftsman LT 1000 6speed-917.271653 which had a Spicer 4360-140 transaxle. Purchased Peerless MST 206-545C and installed. I am having a problem with getting the old linkage to line up. When I got it on- the gears were out of sync-couldn't get it in reverse at all. I had the gears in N as well as the shifter. My questions are -is this Peerless an acurate replacement for the spicer and how can I fix the linkage problem? The company I purchased this from has been very helpful and I don't want to bug them too much. Perhaps I am doing something wrong?
