: I need a block for a Tecumseh VH70 7hp verticle
: shaft engine. Is the block from a H70 horizontal
: shaft engine the same as the VH70 block? If so,
: what parts of the engine other than the base
: would have to be changed? Thank you for any

Kenn, The H-70 is a horizontal shaft motor, and can't be used to replace your verticle shaft block. Is the VH-70 re-buildable? If this is for a JD 70, I had a similar problem, and found that sadly, the cast iron verticle block is NLA. You might be able to find on NOS, it'll take some searching.
