not a bad buy if all is working,the only problem with sme of these was the 2 speed transmission,some would lock up,this was due to the shifter lever housing that holds the lever in place,was weak and if you forced it into gear(should go into gear easy)you would start having your probems,the main cause was the torque/stabilizer bracket was either not attached,due to stipped or missing bolts,this would cause trans to tip up and down and not support it so lever would hit frame and cause hard shifting,s you would try to force into gear and problems would start,deck spindles sealed but you can drill and tap out for grease fitting and get longer life on them,other than that these were a good mower,Worked on these at Montgomery Wards.
