: : I'm looking for a used starter for my 318, a rebuilt one will be ok also,Whenever I try to start it,it doesn't seem to want to engage, I saw in some earlier comments that maybe some WD-40 might do the job! Is that a possible fix.
You'll probably find that your starter is full of dirt and maybe moisture too. I've had several apart and they all had so much dust packed in them the relay couldn't move. This wasn't one of JD's better ideas putting the starter where it is.Disassemble it and clean it good and you wont't need another one.
