I have an 18hp Briggs and Straton Craftsman tractor from the early 90s that will not start.
When I turn the key I get nothing (Engine does not trun over)
I have checked the battery and starter and if I hotwire the engine(direct connect the battery to the starter motor) it will start and run fine.
Electrics are not my strong point but I can not see anything that is disconnected or appears to be burn out.
What might be the problem?
Thanks
John
